The Samsung Music Hub streams music from all four major record labels and some independents to a variety of devices including PCs. Music videos are also available.
Galaxy devices can connect to the service via 3G or Wi-Fi, and smart caching is available to sync playlists via Wi-Fi for disconnected playback to save data charges. It will be possible to start listening to a track on one device, and then pick up where you left off on another.
The service kicks off on October 17, with various devices being phased in through to mid December. Discounts are offered on six and 12 month subscriptions.
Those who purchase a Galaxy S II smartphone before December 31 (including existing owners) qualify for a free two-month trial. Existing and new owners of other Galaxy smartphones running Android 2.2 or later and Galaxy tablets are offered a one month trial form November 1.
Future plans include the option of purchasing selected tracks.
