Optus - which became the official digital partner of the Football Federation Australia (FFA) in July - has revamped the FFA's network of websites and launched mobile apps for Hyundai A-league and Qantas Socceroos.
Intriguingly Optus says the new web sites will "give visitors an insight into locker-room antics," along with "post-game thoughts, including: extensive video highlights of every game; post-game interviews with captains and coaches; opinions and analysis from the most respected names in football in Australia; live minute-by-minute commentary; and in-depth game analysis within a dedicated match centre."
Optus says two new mobile apps, available for iPhone or Android- handsets (the latter from 7 October), will "keep football enthusiasts in the loop anywhere and at anytime, with alerts of match kick-off and when a goal is scored, live match scores, stats, latest news, videos and more."
The A-League app can also be centred on a favourite club to deliver personalised player profiles, news, and video."
There is no charge for the apps but Optus customers do not get any data associated with the web sites or the apps excluded from their quotas.
