Telstra to deliver Twentieth Century Fox movies via IPTV

Your IT - Entertainment

Telstra has struck a deal with Twentieth Century Fox that will enable it to provide Twentieth Century Fox film and television titles to Telstra customers via IPTV to the T-Box, smart TVs and BigPond.com.

Telstra's director of IPTV, Ben Kinealy, said the agreement would increase BigPond Movies' catalogue to more than 2500 titles by the end of the year, including some of Twentieth Century Fox's most popular releases such as Black Swan, Love and Other Drugs, Gulliver's Travels, The Devil Wears Prada, Night at the Museum, and films from the X-Men and Home Alone franchises.

BigPond Movies can be accessed via the Telstra T-Box, Smart TVs or BigPondmovies.com.au. Telstra announced in January plans to offer BigPond Movies to both LG and Samsung Internet enabled TVs under partnerships with those manufacturers.

BigPondmovies.com.au is accessible from any broadband service, but only Telstra broadband customers get the content free of download quotas. Also, the service is not compatible with Mac OS.
