Sony drops PSP price to AU$190

In the looming shadow of the NGP (Next Generation Portable) Sony has decided to shift some current PlayStation Portable devices (PSP) by dropping the RRP by almost a third.

The PSP workhorse model, the PSP 3000 has today been given a price reduction by Sony Computer Entertainment Australia.  What was AU$280 is now AU190.

The PSP Go, the online only version in the PlayStation Portable range remains at an RRP of AU$250. 

Also looming on the horizon is the Sony NGP, the next generation PSP with power to burn.  But while you wait for an NGP, perhaps the PSP 3000 is now in a price range making it a no-brainer purchase for any UMD games or movies you may have in the collection.
