A pressure-sensitive graphics tablet for the Nintendo Wii goes on sale in Australia today, along with the first compatible games. The uDraw GameTablet looks like a fun peripheral.

The uDraw GameTablet is a 4 x 6in pressure-sensitive graphics tablet for use with the Nintendo Wii. Company officials claim it gives more subtle control and precision than the Wii Remote.

The Wii Remote docks with the GameTablet, providing it with power. Tilt and roll gameplay is supported, and there's an SD slot for saving artwork.

The $119.95 GameTablet was launched in the US last November, and almost one million units have been sold.

"After such an overwhelming initial response, we can't wait to finally see uDraw in the hands of Australians," said Rodney Block, managing director of THQ Asia Pacific. "It's something completely new and unique and we're confident it's going to be very popular with people of all ages."

"uDraw fosters creative expression and freedom, with the ability to bring family and friends together," he added.
