Is there a special feline friend in your life, a clever puss who just loves to play, a cat for whom you'd even download the latest iCraze known simply as 'Game for Cats' on your iPad? Either way, read on!
First it was young children and babies who took to the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad with aplomb and gusto, showing the world's technology makers that all their so-called clever and easy-to-use interfaces weren't so impressive if two-year olds and younger couldn't master them in quick time.
Now technology has moved one step forward, yet again, with the world's first iPad game specifically designed for kitty cats, pussy cats, icahhascheezburger cats, fat cats, cool cats or really, any kind of cat that you own (or owns you).
The game is called the '
iPad Game for Cats', from a company called 'Hiccup', and is being billed as 'The World's Best Video Game - (for cats, not humans)'.
Although the good people at
Switched strangely doubt whether a cat's paw has any effect on the iPad's touch screen, the YouTube video you see at the
iPad Game for Cats homepage clearly shows that when the cat taps the racing mouse, it zooms off quickly - just as happens when a human finger touches the same zooming mouse.
A cat's claws probably won't have the same effect, just as a human's fingernail has no effect on an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone screen either, but the soft pad of a cat's paw is as organic and living as your or my finger, and so should work, despite Switched's doubts.
The game is free to download, and comes with two basic modes - a mouse that zooms around the screen, instantly catching your cat's attention and roving eye, while the second mode sees a red dot, supposed to be a laser pointer, doing the same crazy zooming action to iHype your cat up to new levels of iExcitement.
