Quake LIVE Pro and Premium packages

Your IT - Entertainment

Playing Quake, an all action First Person Shooter, inside your browser window was completely mythical five years ago.  But the free game phenomenon now has some pay-to-play options for those wanting more from their browser based bangs.

I remember updating my already expensive desktop computer rig with a Voodoo 2 video card, just to play Quake 2.  These days you can play it inside a browser window with Quake LIVE.

Today id Software announced a couple of subscription models for those wanting to take their browser based Quake LIVE warfare to the next level.
The Premium Subscription, which can be purchased for US$1.99 per month, billed annually, includes:

*Access to 20 QUAKE LIVE Premium only maps at launch with more to come.  Premium maps are a combination of brand new maps and frequently requested community  favourites from previous QUAKE games such as Aerowalk, Theater of Pain, Japanese Castles, and Realm of Steel Rats;

*An all new 'Freeze Tag' game mode;

*Exclusive premium level awards;

*Create your own clan and join up to five separate clans;

*Custom QUAKE LIVE profile wallpaper; and

*Match statistics stored for six months.

Then there is the Pro Subscription model, details for this are on Page 2
