WoW, Creative creates cool new World of Warcraft headsets

Your IT - Entertainment

The WoW starts now for Creative, Blizzard and buyers of the 'Sound Blaster World of Warcraft' headset, available in wired and wireless versions, featuring THX TruStudio PC audio technology, detachable microphones, some 16 million colour LED bling and more to tempt WoW fans to raid stores and buy them!

Blizzard's World of Warcraft online world has certainly been a phenomenon over the past few years, showing a remarkable longevity and remaining highly popular with gamers.

That's despite bad press about its addictive qualities and seemingly never-ending gameplay, which even resulted in an episode of South Park being devoted to the game, but it has let millions enjoy an alternate universe of magic, battles, quests and raids, and shows no real sign of fading away any time soon.

A sign of its continuing popularity is real world accessories for its users, rather than in-game virtual items, and the latest comes from Creative, the company still well known for its Sound Blaster range of products.

As you're no doubt aware, Creative has long ago branched from sound cards into an array of audio products, from speakers and headsets to webcams, mp3 players, digital media devices and more.

Creative's newest addition is a wired, and wireless 'World of Warcraft' headset, made in conjunction with Blizzard to enhance the WoW experience and undoubtedly encourage users to spend more time in the WoW universe - along with buying the WoW headset too, of course.

Steve Erickson, Creative's Vice President and General Manager said that: 'As the leading innovator in precision audio for PC gaming, we were well positioned to develop a headset that could live up to the high standards set forth by Blizzard Entertainment games.

"The Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is a result of this, providing an unprecedented combination of wireless technology, THX TruStudio PC technology for enriched audio performance and a unique design that stands out from anything else available to gamers.'

Creative's sales blurb on its website adds some more colour and detail, and promises that you'll 'hear the world of Azeroth like never before' and that you'll be able to 'communicate with your party or raid clearly' with 'amazing realism from unrivalled headphone surround and gaming sound enhancement technologies'.

Plenty more details on both WoW headsets are on page two, (with pricing and final details on page 3) - please read on!
