It is all well and good when Microsoft or other entertainment companies hold big events overseas announcing future titles, but sometimes you want some local knowledge. This can especially be the case on the lonely isolated isle of Australia.
Microsoft has dropped iTWire some localised Australian information following the
X10 event in San Francisco last week.
It contains pricing and release information for upcoming titles and hardware exclusive to Microsoft's gaming platforms, the PC and Xbox 360. It also gives extra details on the Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Xbox 360 bundle arriving on the back of the franchise leaping to the platform.
Again, all the following details on price and release dates are specifically for the Australian market. Microsoft has deliberately left out any announcement on Project Natal, the motion/audio detection control system due at the end of 2010. Details on this project's advancements will be saved for either next month's Game Developers Conference or E3 in June.
Fire up the flat screen and crank up the volume for the biggest year in Xbox 360 gaming history. At X10, Microsoft Corp. proved to the world why 2010 will be a landmark year for gamers of all types, and it showcased a barrage of exclusive games that defy traditional genres and create new experiences filled with emotion, adrenaline and suspense.

Available in Australia later this year, 'Dead Rising 2' picks up the suspenseful action where the original left off, as gamers fight to survive swarming hordes of the living dead. Microsoft and Capcom Co. Ltd. have also announced that they are teaming up to set a new standard in storytelling through an exclusive 'Dead Rising 2' prologue, downloadable only on Xbox LIVE. 'Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO,' available shortly before the title releases in August, will allow Xbox 360 gamers to get their first glimpse into the 'Dead Rising 2' story with exclusive content that will not be featured in the full game.
