Microsoft paid a rumoured US$50M for exclusive Grand Theft Auto content. This included the two Episodes from Liberty City, The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned, two gritty takes on life in the Grand Theft Auto IV universe. But, today, Rockstar Games announce the defection of this content from Xbox 360 to Games for Windows and shock, horror, the PlayStation 3.
PlayStation 3 fans have been staring through the home windows of their Xbox 360 owning mates, as they played through firstly,
The Lost and Damned, and then recently
The Ballad of Gay Tony.
But finally, PS3 and PC owners get a chance to experience the ride with both a single disc version and download option for Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City.
When pressed about the expiration of the exclusive deal, reportedly worth around US$50M, a Rockstar Games representative expectedly replied; 'We cannot comment on deals past or present.'
