Navigon gets Fresh with your Mac

Your IT - Entertainment

Navigon is testing a Mac utility for updating its GPS units.

One of the problems of being a Mac user is that updaters for various devices - such as GPS - sometimes assume everyone's on Windows.

Navigon last week released a Mac version of Navigon Fresh, the application used to acquire new maps and services and then install them on the GPS unit.

Navigon Fresh also provides for the management of the KML files used to display and save geographical elements.

The software requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

One limitation of the beta is that it does not allow the redemption of FreshMaps discount vouchers.

The Navigon Fresh for Mac beta is available here.
