Mass Effect 2 themed 250GB Xbox 360

In what is becoming a trend, Microsoft has announced a themed Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 equipped with a 250GB hard drive.

If a trend can be judged as two, Microsoft’s trend of releasing the 250GB equipped Xbox 360’s for a limited time continues.

In September 2009 the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 special Xbox 360 was announced, and now it is the turn of upcoming blockbuster Mass Effect 2 to get the themed hardware release treatment.

The details from Microsoft Australia read:  Mass Effect 2, hits the shelves on January 28th and to celebrate Xbox is releasing a limited edition console featuring an Xbox 360 Elite, two black wireless controllers, a 250GB hard drive, wired headset and a copy of Mass Effect 2.

The highly anticipated sequel to BioWare’s award winning 2007 title Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 takes place two years after Command Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life. Now a new mysterious new enemy has emerged and you will follow Commander Shepard as he attempts to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced. The game also features:
 
* Futuristic weapons: Choose from 19 different weapons, including devastating heavy weapons that can end a battle in seconds.
* Elite specialists: Recruit up to a dozen of the galaxy's most dangerous operatives to help you in your mission. Train and equip your team to survive insurmountable odds.
