Mercedes SLS AMG gull-wing to grace Gran Turismo 5 pack

In the important world of virtual supercar collecting the Mercedes SLS AMG gull-wing has snagged the cover of imminent PS3 release Gran Turismo 5.  In other news Sony farm out more info on soon-to-be-released PS3 titles ModNation Racers, MAG, Heavy Rain and God of War III amongst others.

The GT Acadamy 2010 Time Trial is drawing to a close, over one million downloads of the testing time trial software have occurred on the PlayStation Network and virtual drivers have been duelling away since December 17th.

In other GT news, Sony has announced the cover girl for the upcoming Gran Turismo 5. The gullwinged supercar, with a top speed of 197mph, has been chosen amongst a total of nearly 1000 cars recreated down to the finest detail for players to race in the forthcoming title.

ModNation Racers(PS3) - Public Beta Confirmed

On 22nd January, 100,000 PS3 owners across European markets, including Australia, will be able to get their hands on the ModNation Public Beta. Once downloaded from PlayStation Store, you can jump, boost and drift your way around tricky racetracks, picking up weapons with every twist and turn in a battle to the finish line, then have a go creating your own courses and challenge the world to race on them.

The ModNation Racers Beta is free, so simply log on to PSN store on Thursday 21st (evening time in Australia) and download the trial. It will then be live from Friday 22 January until Sunday 14 February. It provides the opportunity to race on four premade tracks; two of which are exclusive to the European beta. You can also enter the Creation Station and design your very own character, kart and alpine themed race track, ready to share with other Beta Trial testers.
