Microsoft does a hot lap with new Forza 3 content

Your IT - Entertainment

Microsoft have released the "Hyundai Genesis Coupe Car Pack" free for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Thousands of banned Xbox 360 owners are crying in jealousy.

Released today, the new downloadable content is absolutely free for all Xbox Live Gold members and will contain three new cars. The "Hyundai Genesis Coupe Car Pack" will feature the HKS Genesis Coupe, the Rhys Millen Racing Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe and an exclusive Forza 3 edition Genesis Coupe.

Even more content is set to cruise onto Xboxes everywhere on December 8, but for a price. The Xbox Live Marketplace will host the "Hot Holidays Car Pack" for 400 Microsoft Point, or about $8.25 AU. This pack will contain at least ten new cars, which will include the 'hot off the press' Ferrari 458 Italia. As well as this, a free 2010 Audi S4 will be offered alongside the pack.

The release comes at time when over 1 million Xbox 360s have been banned from the Xbox Live service, and it's exclusive DLC such as this that will perhaps tempt banned users into buying another unit.

Worth noting for fans of the series is that for the next two weeks, ForzaMotorsport.net will host a daily trivia contest, where gamers which cars will become part of the "Hot Holidays Car Pack" DLC. Winners will be able to pick both in-game rewards and real-life ones, and the site is definitely worth a look for petrolheads and casual gamers alike.
