The Game Developers’ Association of Australia (GDAA) has announced the first group of keynote speakers lined up for Game Connect: Asia Pacific 09.  Delegates will have the chance to gain industry insights from colleagues with development experience in such landmark titles as Deus Ex, Ultima Underworld and God of War.

GCAP09 will take place at Melbourne’s Crown Promenade Hotel from Sunday 6th to Tuesday 8th of December.

It is a gathering of game development like-minds both international and from the thriving Australian industry.

The full program is yet to be announced, but the conveners of the event, the Game Developers’ Association of Australia have announced preliminary Keynote Speakers.

“We are delighted to advise that Tim Stellmach, Design Director of Vicarious Visions and David Jaffe, Founder of Eat, Sleep, Play will be joining us at GCAP this year to share what we feel sure will be a wealth of valuable insights and experiences with our delegates,” commented Tom Crago, President of the Game Developers’ Association of Australia.

Tim Stellmach will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Which Side Are You On? The Design of Momentous Choices’ which will draw upon his years of experience at the forefront of game design.

Tim is Design Director at Vicarious Visions, the New York-based developers of the new action-RPG Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. He is an 18-year veteran of the games industry and a principal designer of such acclaimed titles as System Shock and Thief. Tim has also worked on games as diverse as Ultima Underworld, Deus Ex and Guitar Hero.

Video game industry legend David Jaffe will appear via video link in a Q&A session to be compared by the hosts of the Australian ABC television series ‘Good Game’. David will answer questions and reflect on his experiences from his long and illustrious career in games,

David is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and currently resides in San Diego, California. He is best known for his time at Sony Computer Entertainment America, directing the Twisted Metal series and, more recently, God of War. In 2007, David left SCEA to found Eat, Sleep, Play,
