Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Those fire starting boys from The Prodigy have embraced the Sony PlayStation 3 technology of VidZone.
According to Sony: The music video for The Prodigy’s ‘Take Me To The Hospital’ single will be available exclusively as a world premiere only on VidZone™ for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) from Wednesday 5th of August at 3AM AEST, ahead of the single release on August 31. Directed by Paul Dugdale and filmed at the legendary Pinewood Studios, the video features an energetic and crazed performance from all three band members (Liam, Keith and Maxim).
This is the third commercial single from The Prodigy’s chart topping album “Invaders Must Die”.
The free VidZone service is proving popular with PlayStation 3 owners. Sony has today announced the milestone download number crossing the 1 million mark, and over 100 million video’s played.
The simple maths indicates that, once downloaded, PS3 owners are loving the use of the VidZone application.
Sony are likewise buoyant: Just under eight weeks since VidZone's June launch, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that over one million music lovers have now downloaded the new music video streaming application to their PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3(tm)). The result has seen over 100 million music videos streamed via PS3, across the seven launch territories where the service is available, as people tune into their favourite artists and create their very own music video jukebox on their TV.
In Australia alone, VidZone is already a massive hit with PS3 users. Since the VidZone application launch on 11th June, VidZone is now ranked as the number one most popular download from PlayStation Network in Australia. This high rate of uptake shows how Australians are increasingly enjoying access to non-gaming and entertainment based services on PS3, alongside gaming content.
