Warhammer 40K Space Marine game detailed

The rumours have been flying around for some time now, but THQ today firmed up the details of a third-person perspective action title based around the super-human angels of death from Games Workshops iconic table top universe Warhammer 40,000.  Space Marine is under development by Relic, makers of Dawn of War.

Back in September last year, a movie was leaked showing game-play from a title known as Space Marine, set in the war-ravaged 41st millennium and supposedly under development at the THQ Australian studios.  You can view that footage here .

THQ have finally shed further light on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, and fans of the other current WH40K game going about; Dawn of War II , will be happy to know that developer Relic is in tight control of the reigns.

The Action-RPG title will put players in control of individual units throughout a narrative-driven story campaign and in wide-scale online battles.  Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will be unveiled at E3 2009 in THQ's booth - number 5300 in the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
