Xbox achievements, those ego stroking little blips that appears whilst playing an Xbox 360 game are highly sort after. Something else that will be highly sort after is the forthcoming Halo Wars game from Ensemble Studios. Click on through for a combination of the two.
[Updated with correct studio details] Halo Wars will be a real time strategy game for the Xbox 360, arriving in the first quarter of 2009.
Brought to us by the same development team as the popular Age of Empire games, Ensemble Studios. Halo Wars will be one of the last hurrahs for Ensemble who will be closing down after the games release - how this will affect ongoing support for the title is yet to be made clear.
Real Time Strategy games are notoriously difficult to bring to the Keyboard and Mouseless arena of console gaming, so it will be up to Ensemble to work hard to make a playable RTS that conserves the Halo reputation.
The Xbox 360 Achievement system has, like Halo, enjoyed a popularity that has impressed marketing teams so much so that Sony introduced a copy-cat trophy system for the ps3.
Achievements are earned by completing key objectives, racking up a certain amount of game functions or for many more obscure milestones. On the following page you will find the list of Halo Wars achievements making it easy to plan your upcoming campaign.
The list looks to be a good mix of easy, difficult, obtuse off and online goals to aim for, adding that extra dimension of game-play on top of the rulebook description.
So over-achievers, click on to page two for the list.
