Beware! Animal Wii crossing

Your IT - Entertainment

Hang on, no, let me read that again.   Animal Crossing is coming to the Wii, be there.  Nintendo announce the details of Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City.  The popular franchise has crossed over to the Wii console.

Time to tend some animals on your Nintendo Wii as the Animal Crossing franchise makes the leap onto the ‘big’ Nintendo console.

Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City is slated for release on December 4th

It’s all about customisation and collection. Build and decorate a house, your avatar( Mii) and noodling around with friends and pets.

According to Nintendo,  Animal Crossing: Let’s go to the City players will be able to .. Build relationships with animals in your town as you go fishing, take in a concert, get your hair done at Shampoodle salon and get a Mii™ makeover. Design your own clothes at the tailor’s shop and the animals in your town can even wear them and take them into other towns! Decorate your house, go on a shopping spree, watch fireworks with friends, ride the bus into the city – the choice is yours and your options are endless in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City.

Up to four people in your household can live and work together to build the perfect town, or you can invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The Wii Speak accessory (broadband internet connection required) allows you to talk to your friends, no matter what their location. The Wii Speak accessory sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room. As you talk to your friends via Wii Speak you will even see their character on your screen.

With Wii Speak comes a code that allows you to download the Wii Speak™ Channel at no charge. Simply visit the Wii Shop Channel to download this feature. Wii Speak lets people in up to four locations who have traded Friend Codes chat with one another at no extra cost. When you use Wii Speak in real time, your Mii appears on your TV screen and mimics your chat. You also can leave audio messages for your friends and family members or use Wii Speak to narrate captions for your photos.

Time passes in the game as it does in real life, with holidays, weather and so on mimicking what is happening in at the same time outside of the game environment, though it may well be Northern Hemisphere centric, with the ability to “..Go trick-or-treating in late October, catch fireflies in the summer”.

Animal Crossing: Lets Go To The City will arrive for the Wii on December 4th.
