BlizzCon 2008 will again feature the same old Blizzard developed universes, World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo. But this time around they are all playable.
It could be said that it is rather pompous of Blizzard to have their own convention, given the number of titles on display. But conventions they have, and popular they are indeed.
The latest BlizzCon has just opened its doors at the Aneheim Convention Centre. Allowing access to many a World of Warcraft cosplay fan as well as those looking to get a gander at the upcoming Blizzard releases.
After a rev-up by president and co-founder Mike Morhaime, the masses have been let loose to experience the upcoming releases for all three of the major Blizzard franchises.
World of Warcraft and its millions of fans will soon have the new areas of
Wrath of the Lich King to explore, November 13th to be exact.
Starcraft 2 will no doubt be the focus of any South Koreans in the audience, as will many other Real Time Strategy fans who will be keen to see how the classic game has been updated for a new audience.
Diablo 3 has had a new class announced as the Wizard joins the ranks of Barbarian and
Necromancer Witch Doctor as playable characters. Blizzard have released a couple of videos (one of which, via 1up.com, is viewable below) based on the Wizard, with the character exuding confidence in her own abilities to make mayhem amongst the Diablo universe nasties.
