Warhammer Online Collector's Edition revealed

Electronic Arts have thrown the cloak back and given details on the Warhammer Online Collectors Edition.

Warhammer Online:Age of Reckoning now has a Collectors Edition with details below.  EA are also hoping to entice pre-orders for the game with enticements such as access to the Open Beta and other in game goodies.

Giving away extra in-game goodies to owners of the Collector’s Edition will always raise the spectre of what advantage the “richer” fan of the game will have.  This is especially the case in a game such as this where Player Vs Player battles will be a big part of the game.

The goodies in question however do not seem overpowering – though specific details such as the actual time limit on the The Grindmonger Trilogy effect are not mentioned.  Warhammer Online;Age of Reckoning is due for release on PC later this year.

A press release has hit the iTWire desk.  Full details (from an Australian perspective at least) of pre-order goodies as well as the Collector’s Edition contents are here-in.

This Collector's Edition of EA Mythic's massively-multiplayer online role-playing game will be packed with bonus in-game content and unique collectibles unavailable elsewhere, including an exclusive Games Workshop miniature.

A limited number of 6,000 copies of the Collector's Edition will be available in Australia and those who pre-order the product will receive additional exclusives including:

*         Access to Open Beta

*         Special early access to the live game

*         Bonus in-game items:

o        RITTENBACH'S PORTABLE CAMP: Rest your weary soul and heal your wounds between battles

o        SENTINEL'S AMBER BAND: Enhance your stats and cast "Touch of Earth," increasing your chance of doing additional corporeal damage with each hit (Usable in PvE combat only)

The WAR Collector's Edition with an RRP of AU$129.99 will be available for pre-order at EB Games, Harvey Norman, GAME, Dick Smith Electronics, JB Hi-Fi, GamesMen, Games Warehouse and select independent retailers.
