Two more hits on Xbox LIVE Arcade

More top-selling Arcade titles are available from tomorrow at discounted prices as they become Xbox LIVE Arcade Hits.

Enjoy the co-operative action of “Assault Heroes”, winner of IGN’s Xbox LIVE Arcade game of the year for 2006 and now available for just 400 Microsoft Points. Relive the classic demon-blasting first-person shooter “DOOM”, also now available for just 400 Microsoft Points.

The Arcade Hits program offers some of the best-selling Xbox LIVE Arcade games at permanently reduced prices. They can be found within the Xbox LIVE Arcade section of the new Game Store, making it easier than ever to build a library of great downloadable games.

Bring down the Mass Effect DLC

Players can now explore even more of the “Mass Effect” universe with the first downloadable content pack. “Bring Down the Sky” is the first in a planned series of downloadable content on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

“Bring Down the Sky” includes a new uncharted world that introduces the Batarians: a notorious and feared alien race. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

Available for 400 MS points via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, fans can experience 90 minutes of heart-pounding action in “Bring Down the Sky” and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.

Lost Planet finally colonised

Capcom has announced that “Lost Planet: Extreme Condition – Colonies Edition” is in development for the Xbox 360 and Games for Windows – LIVE, delivering fresh new content and gameplay options.

“Lost Planet: Extreme Condition – Colonies Edition” provides the same compelling single player experience found in the original game, but with the addition of three new modes. Fans of multiplayer action will not be disappointed with a host of new maps, characters, weapons and gameplay modes.

And what’s more, for the first time, Xbox 360 owners will be able to join up with or play against PC gamers thanks to cross-platform compatibility over LIVE. “Lost Planet: Extreme Condition – Colonies Edition” is set for release in June and the Xbox 360 version will launch as part of the Xbox 360 Classics range.
