Gran Turismo 5 prologue gets release date and bundle

GT goes online and high definition following on from the demo, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is set for simultaneous release on Blu-ray, PlayStation Network and as a bundle with the 40GB PS3.

Sony announce details of the European (and Australian) release of Gran Turismo 5, featuring for the first time 16 player online racing, a TV channel, new physics engine and gorgeous high definition graphics, but still no damage model.

Developer Polyphony Digital have announced Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, a prequel title showcasing the forthcoming Gran Turismo™ 5 for PS3, will be available both on Blu-ray Disc (BD) on Thursday 27 March for AU$59.95, and as adownload from PLAYSTATION Network on Friday 28 March.

In Australia, Launching on the same day as the standalone BD version, a PS3 bundle will be available including a PS3 40GB model, a SIXAXIS wireless controller and a Gran Turismo 5 Prologue game, for AU$699.95.

Sony have also announced further details around the Gran Turismo TV channel and some surprising additional European Gran Turismo 5 Prologue features.
