RockStar games have announced the release date for the next console shifting game in the Grand Theft Auto series

Rated MA 15+ in Australia, look for Grand Theft Auto IV on PS3 and Xbox 360 April 29.

With extra content for the Xbox 360 and special editions announced the hype and most likely the controversy of another Grand Theft Auto release is ready to explode again.

Given the trailers already released, this GTA seems to have built even further on the freedom and visuals of its predecessor.  Those visuals also seem to quash the rumoured Wii version every hitting the streets, it is hard to see the code required for a Grand Theft World being realised in the current Wii hardware.  Happy to be surprised however.
