Sony Australia have announced details including release dates for WipEout Pulse and Syphon Filter:Logan's Shadow for the PlayStation Portable.
Oh the gaming industry certainly comes out to play in December. The all-important holiday sales period is a competitive one for sprucing up corporate coffers.
Sony are offering a couple of franchise extending titles for this Christmas.
The newest generation of WipEout is here for PSP(r)(PlayStation(r)Portable)! Set for release on 06 December 2007, WipEout Pulse is the latest in the classic WipEout franchise and blends high speed, nail biting anti gravity combat racing to the next level. Following on from the critically and commercially acclaimed WipEout Pure on PSP, this new addition to the WipEout clan brings a number of new features to enhance thean experience even more.
New additions to WipEout Pulse include;
· 7 diversified single player and multiplayer modes, including wireless multiplayer mode via Ad Hoc and Infrastructure Modes
· Downloadable content available at and post-launch: new circuits, ships and music tracks
· Pumping soundtrack licensed by a range of top artists including; Mason, Loco Dice and Stanton Warriors
· 8 teams including the new EG-X team and 24 new exhilarating tracks
· New Mag-Strip track feature: Allowing for a huge variety and dynamism in track design including loops, vertical drops and 90 degrees angled sections
Next up is Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. Due 06 December 2007, this PSP(r) (PlayStation(r)Portable) exclusive has a heart pounding storyline especially written by comic book genius, Greg Rucka and features all the exotic locations and covert intrigue players have come to expect from the Syphon Filter franchise.
This time around, Gabe Logan has been called up to infiltrate the USS Mt St Helen's, captured by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean. Tasked with this clandestine mission and retrieving delicate cargo from the ship, Logan is also faced with the prospect that his long-term partner, Lian Xing, is a double agent and traitor. With no one to trust around him and a mysterious stranger shadowing his every move, Logan is forced to fend for himself and fight harder than ever before.
