Developer Blizzard has used their annual conference in California, BlizzCon 07 to release details about the second expansion to the World of Warcraft phenomenon.  Wrath of the Lich King is coming.

The opening ceremony of BlizzCon 07 had Blizzard confirm rumours of the next expansion to the World of Warcraft massive multiplayer online role-play game that has already ensnared nine million players.

Titled Wrath of the Lich King, this expansion, like its predecessor, The Burning Crusade, lifts the level cap on players, this time from 70 to 80, giving veterans of the game a new target to grind to.

Wrath of the Lich King will open up the northern continent of Northrend, include a new Death Knight hero class along with new arenas, siege weaponry, battlegrounds, destructible buildings, a new profession (Inscription) and most importantly new customisable hairstyles and dances ( A Death Knight must look his best before a knight on the destructible town!)

There will also be integrate voice communication introduced along with a guild banking system and a new 10-man instance, Zul'Aman.
