Episodic GTA IV content exclusive to Xbox 360

Your IT - Entertainment

Considering Microsoft have reportedly paid US$50M for the privilege, the episodic Grand Theft Auto IV content better be compelling enough to move consumers from the PS3 version to the Xbox 360 version.

Take Two Interactive have confirmed that their stabled developer RockStar will produce exclusive episodic add on content for the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto IV.

To make back the US$50M Microsoft outlaid for the content they are either planning on selling 600,000 downloaded episodes at a premium Xbox Live Marketplace cost, or simply bank on this announcement further driving sales of both hardware and software.

Looks like the big salvos are still being shot in this gaming console war with all sides determined to grab as big a slice of the pie as possible.
