News from developing giant Electronic Arts reveal details for the Nintendo Wii version of the popular Soccer franchise FIFA 08
In a new direction for the serious Soccer simulation FIFA 08 will include a special “Footii Party with Ronaldinho” mode on the Wii version of the game.  This will be a set of party games.

The mini games will be hosted by a Mii version of Ronaldinho; ” My character looks like he enjoys playing football and shares my passion for the game," the superstar athlete commented. "This is important to me. Whether you are playing football on the pitch or my party games in FIFA 08 on the Wii, it should be a fun and enjoyable experience."

Undoubtedly the “Footii Party” games will make use of the unique Wii controller in a similar way to the extremely popular Wii-Sports.  We should be able to inject our own Mii’s into the games as well.

Along with the Wii version, we can expect Ronaldinho to grace the cover of FIFA 08 versions for DS, PSP, PS2, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as mobile phone versions of the game.

FIFA 08 is due this southern spring.
