New look Prince of Persia coming to XBLA Wednesday

The Prince will bound onto Xbox Live this week with a new polish to his turban.

At last eighties nostalgia fans can relive all the original content from the swashbuckling 1989 game Prince of Persia – but wait, there is more.

Developer gearbox has confirmed that this Wednesday’s Xbox Live Arcade release of Prince of Persia will feature not only updated graphics combined with classic game-play but a smattering of new traps, puzzles and enemies.

There will also be twelve new achievements to be gained by playing the full game ranging from simply finding a sword on level one right through to the daunting “finish the game without dying”  Yikes!

Prince of Persia will be available from June 13th at 800 Microsoft points.
