PSP gets an eye with the Go!Cam

Sony today announced the Australian release date for Go!Cam, the USB attached camera for the PlayStation Portable (PSP).  The PSP will also enjoy a new lower price point.

From today punters can pick up the PSP for a new RRP of AU$279.95 along with some PSP receiving the Platinum title at AU$29.95 - these are the previously reported Ridge Racer 2, Tekken, Killzone, Loco Roco, and Moto GP.

We also hear that the release date for the Go!Cam USB attached camera is the 21st of June, with a retail cost of AU$79.95.

The Go!Cam can store up to two and a half hours of video and the ability to capture and store of 40,000 photos - given you have whacked a 4GB memory stick PRO Duo in your PSP.

You will need Version 3.0 of the PSP firmware to get the Go!Cam up and running but once you do you will be able to spy on.... errm take pictures of.... your friends all you like. 

The Go!Cam has a built in microphone, and a directional lens (180 degrees vertical) and comes with Go!Edit software to muck around with the digital images that you capture between gaming sessions on the train.
