A customised Xbox 360, signed by the Bungie Halo 3 development team has gone under the hammer during a charity auction for over AU$24,000

As reported earlier on iTWire, the Microsoft endorsed and run auctions had raised over AU$20,000 for the children's Make-A-Wish foundation.  This was more than doubled today with AU$24,300 being the final winning bid on the latest offering.

Nick Segger, Xbox Group Marketing Manager, says, "Xbox would like to thank everyone who participated in the auctions for lending their support to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The response to the whole Konsoles for Kids campaign has been fantastic, and the way Halo fans have reacted to the 'Halo 3' console has just been overwhelming. We're very hopeful of setting a new world record for a console sold."

Indeed this is a fine result for a worthy charity.
