Tabula Rasa closed beta begins

Your IT - Entertainment

NCsoft have announced that the highly anticipated MMO Tabula Rasa has entered the final stages of development with the beginning of a closed beta test.  This new project from Ultima granddaddy Richard Garriott gives us a tasty sci-fi setting to live in vicariously.

Set in a fast paced epic sci-fi world, players will be initially soldiers in an intergalactic war between a coalition of rebel solders and a xenophobic alien race bent on their destruction.

Using technology and the mysterious powers of "Logos" the rebels must rely on their wits to survive the hostile conflict.

"This is an exciting time for the Tabula Rasa team," says Garriott, executive producer at NCsoft and the Austin, Texas-based Destination Games(tm) development team. "With closed beta testing now in progress, we're excited to hear more what our players think. With fast-action and tactical combat in an RPG setting, a deep and interesting fictional universe, and many feature innovations, we think we've created a game that represents the next generation of MMO games and will revolutionize the way people play online games."

More information can be found at the official Tabula Rasa website.
