Boom Boom Rocket hits Xbox Live Arcade

Your IT - Entertainment

Rhythm action game Boom Boom Rocket is Electronic Arts' first venture into Xbox Live Arcade publishing.

The price tag of 800 Microsoft points (approx $US9/$A13) has some Xbox owners questioning the value proposition, but others like the idea of controlling a virtual pyrotechnic display in time to remixed classical music.

Solo or two-player modes are offered, and a trial version lets you decide whether the game is to your taste before parting with those hard-earned points.

The game was developed by Bizarre Creations, known for Project Gotham Racing 3 and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.
