Australian public cloud computing and storage company, Ninefold, has launched an affiliate program which it says will allow businesses and individuals with an online presence to generate revenue.

The world's 'ravenous appetite' for online data continues to grow, and according to forecasts from one leading industry analyst firm, global Internet-generated broadband traffic will increase by around 50 percent year over year on fixed networks and double on mobile networks.

Canberra's Centre for Internet Safety has issued a warning that, despite around 80 per cent of Australian homes having internet access, it believes too few end users take the necessary steps to keep themselves safe online.
