Mike Bantick is a technology professional that has failed to complete his growing up..

Bantick has always had an interest in computer entertainment stemming back to the early eighties when he played and coded his own games for the Apple.

In 1987 Bantick began his IT career as a mainframe operator for the electricity commission in Victoria, this lead to management positions in Operations at the National Australia Bank. As part of sixteen years in the bank, Bantick held positions in Systems Programming, Systems Automation and SAP teams, including being a significant part of the banks successful Y2K remediation project.

From 1994 he began presenting on Melbourne FM radio 3RRR 102.7FM, eventually becoming part of the core team on the weekly technology show Byte Into It.

In 2003 he wrote a number of short game reviews for The Age newspaper gadget supplement LiveWire, before joining PCgamingzone magazine providing news and gaming snippets..

Also in 2003 Bantick’s IT career breadth expanded, with a move to a financial software outsourcing company asking him to take a technical management role involving desktop, mainframe, network and midrange responsibilities.
