In a bid to catch up with Firefox and Google’s Chrome, Apple today released Safari 5.0.1 through Software Update or as a separate download. Unlike previous versions of Safari, Apple is now offering Safari Extensions - so that developers can add new features and add to Safari’s, thus far, limited capability.
