Macquarie Telecom division, Macquarie Hosting, has signed a three-year deal with secure ecommerce and ebusiness solutions vendor, eCorner, to manage the company’s entire IT infrastructure and ensure PCI compliant online transactions for its customers.

International ticketing service Seatem has picked Macquarie Hosting as the home for its Australian operations.

Listed Australian online movie subscription company, Quickflix has signed a three-year, half-million dollar deal with Macquarie Hosting to host its online portal as the company prepares for what it says is an expected big increase in business with the eventual launch of the NBN.

Macquarie Telecom has signalled its intention to aggressively go after its share of what it says is the growing adoption in Australia of hosting services, with a management reshuffle including the creation of new executive positions, at the head of its hosting business which grew by 18 percent in the last financial year to achieve revenues of $95.5 million.

Macquarie Telecom (ASX: MAQ) has achieved a full-year EBITDA of $25.0m for the year to June 2009, an increase of 81.9 percent over the previous year and has turned a net loss in FY08 of $1.17m into a profit of $7.45m. Throughout the announcement of its results it emphasised the growing contribution from and focus on data and hosting services.

Macquarie Hosting has inked a three-year deal with SBS to host the network’s web portal and mission critical IPTV and online radio applications.

The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) has selected Macquarie Hosting, in a three-year managed virtualized hosting deal to support its planned growth in online ticket and merchandise sales and a push into the online travel, entertainment and accommodation market.
