If you’ve tried looking for the OnLive Desktop but couldn’t find it in the Australian App Store, and were as disappointed as I am that OnLive couldn’t get its damned act together for us Down Under, there is another way – even if it’s slightly fiddly.

With the passing of the late and great Steve Jobs, his child Apple Inc is no doubt looking to the future. Jobs has left a great corporate legacy, with an amazing line-up of products, a huge bank balance and a seemingly unassailable market position. However, when a dreamer dies so does his dream and that is scaring the market witless.

It is ironic in a week when the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft (AFACT) is going into battle yet again with ISP iiNet that the NSW Minister for Fair Trading Anthony Roberts has accused Apple of price gouging through its Australian iTunes online store. Could Mr Roberts be whipping the wrong horse and should instead focus his attention on the members of AFACT?

Amid all the hype and disappointment surrounding the iPhone5 and its non-appearance, Apple's announcement of iCloud has been somewhat overlooked - but it comes with a host of features and has the potential to lure more users to go 'all Apple' for their computers, phones and tablet devices.

There is not much that can be said about Apple and Steve Jobs that has not already been said. Jobs is Apple; no, Apple, with its superlative developers, is much more than Jobs; Jobs is merely human and just a good salesman. The reality is, however, Apple and Jobs are inseparable because Apple is Steve Job's dream. And that's why it will not survive after he goes.
