MyNetFone (ASX MNF) has released an upgraded version of its cloud-based IP PBX with what it says is a host of new features. The same functionality will also be available, white-labelled for sale to other service providers by MyNetFone subsidiary, Symbio Networks, which operates the platform supporting the product.

Internode has  formed a partnership with unified communications technology company, Mitel and systems integrator, Tie Networks, under which Internode will host the virtualised version of the Mitel IP telephony platform with Tie Networks configuring and customising the platform for individual users.

Amcom Telecommunications (ASX: AMM) has acquired privately held IP Systems Pty Ltd, a provider of converged voice, video and data services to the enterprise market, for $6.5m ($5.3m in cash). The moves puts it in competition with iiNet in which it holds a 22 percent stake.
