Australia’s largest direct wine retailer, Cellarmasters, is to deploy the Interactive Intelligence, all-in-one IP communications software suite, Customer Interaction Center (CIC), at its new contact centre in the inner-Sydney suburb of Surry Hills.

NetStar Group has agreed to a $US19.8 million takeover by UK-based Logicalis. NetStar provides IP network infrastructure services in Australia and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

IP network solutions vendor, NetStar, has secured a multi-million dollar, multi-year project commissioned by Crown Melbourne to deploy a bespoke communications solution to service guests in Crown’s Melbourne complex of hotels adjoining its casino.

Many of Australia’s SMEs are moving slowly towards adopting a range of Unified Communications (UC) applications and are likely to consider new cloud-based offerings, while some are considering deploying IP telephony using a service provider’s hosted solution in the next two years.

IP communications supplier Interactive Intelligence has edged out six other vendors to secure a 25 seat call management deal from Macquarie Telecom that it believes could eventually grow to a 500 seat deal.
