IPTV numbers are seriously on the rise with more than 300,000 Australian homes now accessing an IPTV service, meaning around one in ten subscription TV services are currently delivered over broadband.

Ever since Apple launched its original iPad in 2010, Telstra customers subscribing to Mobile Foxtel on the iPhone and other smartphones have wondered when it would officially arrive on the iPad, and now, in 2012, it finally has.

However the article gave only vague hints on how traditional Brick and Mortar stores was facing competition from the net,  spending more time talking about DVD rental machines from RedRoomDVD  and Oovie.

  Telstra has expanded the availability of Foxtel on T-Box to more customers in Victoria and New South Wales. Also new is a T-Box remote control app for iOS.  

Telstra is to expand the IPTV offering of its T-Box device through an exclusive partnership with shopping channel TV Shopping Network (TVSN) and its affiliated television direct marketing medium, Expo Channel.
