TNS enables EFTPOS & ATMs to operate over broadband
Transaction Network Services is launching a new broadband EFTPOS and ATM network service in Australia called TNSLink that, it says, will significantly reduce day to day operational costs associated with retail EFTPOS and ATM terminals by allowing them to be connected via any broadband Internet access service.

PINs 'strongly protected' by Aussie ATM network
Despite concerns emanating from the US about the security of ATM/EFTPOS networks, the relevant industry body claims best practices are applied in Australia. There have been no reports of such attacks in Australia, said a spokesperson.
