State of Michigan Selects MessageWay for Advanced Managed File Transfer

MessageWay Solutions™, a leading provider of Advanced Managed File Transfer (MFT) software, today announced the State of Michigan has selected MessageWay® for Advanced Managed File Transfer (MFT) as its enterprise-wide, open standards-based platform to improve information sharing across state and federal agencies.  MessageWay's open platform was selected for its ability to manage high-volumes of file exchange and provide flexible, secure internet connectivity.

"The State of Michigan has been a leader in adopting the concept of a centralized data exchange gateway for controlling file exchange between external partners and internal departments," stated Greg Faubert, CEO of MessageWay Solutions.  "The State forecasts that their file exchange traffic will grow by several orders of magnitude over the next three years.  That led them to initiate their search for a flexible, open platform solution that offered increased control and visibility over transmissions and maximum security for files in transit, as well as data at rest. MessageWay has a proven track record for file visibility and overall scalability in high volume environments.  It was the only solution to meet the State’s rigorous solution scoring requirements."

In a recent Aberdeen report "Secure/Managed File Transfer: Why Best in Class Organizations Are Saying It's a Must Have," analyst Carol Baroudi validates this trend. According to Baroudi, "The demand for secure, managed file transfer is exploding. So many different pressures are all pointing in one direction. New functionality for both traditionally scheduled file transfers and ad hoc file transfers is changing business process and saving organizations money." Faubert went on to say, "We are excited to be working with the forward-thinking IT organization at the State of Michigan and upgrading their infrastructure with MessageWay for Advanced Managed File Transfer.  As more organizations look to leverage the Internet for their electronic file exchange needs, we're seeing an unmistakable increase in demand for on-premise advanced MFT.  We look forward to getting the State of Michigan fully operational to enable their B2B growth plans."
