Great Southern Grid

Virtual Local ® is promoting to Government a long term vision to make Australia an advanced ICT network hub linking the continent to Antarctica , Africa and South America as the “ Great Southern Grid “.

Virtual Local ® is in discussion with the Western Australian Government, local universities and entities in the State of New York to form a cooperative that will develop grid technologies for global deployment.

We also see potential to integrate new Information and Communication Technologies developed from the 2 billion dollar Square Kilometer Array project that will incorporate grid technologies as a core ICT process. The Square Kilometer Array is part of a global scientific effort involving many Countries to map the universe and its origins.

Virtual Local ® as the cooperative plans to deploy grid ICT within suburban and regional places so as to connect citizens and business with Local Government (s) as a “virtual” representation of “our place our space” .

The cooperative is to focus on communication, trade and sharing of these advanced ICT resources globally.
