The reusable SpaceX VTVL rocket called Grasshopper made a giant leap forward on December 17, 2012, with a 131-foot (40-meter) takeoff and landing at its McGregor, Texas facility.
But it didn't - the Mayans were right, the charlatans were wrong.

Many fly-by-night websites are telling you the world will end on December 21, 2012, and not-so-surprisingly they are also trying to sell you worthless survival stuff.
