NASA has confirmed that SpaceX will delay the first commercial flight of a spacecraft to the International Space Station from May 7, 2012, to at least May 10th, due to more time needed for pre-flight tests and checkouts.

SpaceX has announced that the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft for its first mission to the International Space Station has been delayed again, however, such postponements are normal for pioneering efforts by such an organization.

Lyrid meteor shower to go 3D in 2012

In late April, the Lyrid meteor shower comes to Earth. This year - in 2012 - astronomers on Earth and astronauts onboard the International Space Station attempt to create the first three-dimensional (3D) images for a meteor shower.
