Vote for your favorite school video: NASA spinoffs

NASA conducted a contest for students to produce a video that emphasizes one of NASA's many spinoff technologies. Now, you can vote for your favorite spinoff video.


The NASA contest is called OPTIMUS PRIME Spinoff Award.

Over 190 schoolchildren from 31 states here in the United States participated in the contest that describes ''¦ their favorite agency technology from NASA's 2009 Spinoff publication.'

The goal was to help students learn and understand more about how technology developed specifically for space and aeronautics can help us here on Earth.

You can Vote for your favorite OPTIMUS PRIME Spinoff Award videos at: OPTIMUS VOTING.

NASA states, 'The top five submissions from each of two groups (third through fifth and sixth through eighth grades) will advance for final judging.'

And, the voting remains open until February 6, 2011.
