Mobile operators get fixed price spectrum renewal in $3b Government windfall

The Government has offered Australia's three mobile operators, and vividwireless, renewal of their existing spectrum allocated on 15 year licences in the late 90s and early 2000s at set prices, while the Government expects to rake in $3 billion.

The official rolling out ceremony of Virgin SpaceShip (VSS) Enterprise occurred on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Mojave Spaceport in California, United States. Watch the video of the historic event in space tourism.


The December 7, 2009 iTWire article “SpaceShipTwo is ready for its Virgin rollout” describes in more details the official unveiling ceremony of the first SpaceShipTwo by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.

The rolling out of VSS Enterprise occurred on Monday, December 7, 2009, in the Mojave Spaceport in California, United States.

Virgin Galactic, a part of the Virgin Group, is owned primarily by Branson and secondarily by Aabar Investments, which is an investment fund owned by the Abu Dhabi city government. Abu Dhabi is the second largest city of the United Arab Emirates, and also its capital city.

The company (Virgin Galactic) expects to provide suborbital spaceflights to paying customers beginning in 2011.

Over the next year and a half, Virgin Galactic will be testing the new spaceplane (VSS Enterprise), along with its carrier aircraft WhiteKnightTwo, specifically Virgin MotherShip (VMS) Eve.
