And in reality, that is exactly what they were at that time
“unidentified flying objects”—
“unidentified” as to whether they came from Earth or outside of Earth, but definitely
“flying objects.”--no more, no less!
Barnes was paraphrased in the ABC article that
“No aliens, no spacecraft from far-flung planets, no underground passageways” occurred, but they were U.S. airplanes over the sky of the United States.
He added,
“people have an imagination” and:
"We laughed at it."
Of course,
Stanton T. Friedman counters with:
"Those guys who came forward may very well be telling the truth, with the caveat that they wouldn't know if there was something going on." Friedman is a nuclear physicist, lecturer, and UFO researcher.
So, we really have not proven nor disproven anything here.
However, if information is being declassified about Area 51, then maybe in the future we will learn more about the secret activities that happened at Area 51.
Most likely our imaginations are more active than the real thing. As Barnes stated,
“Area 51 was the most boring place I ever worked” and that is probably pretty true, especially when it comes to UFOs from outer space.
Page three concludes.
