In the western portion of the United States and Canada, people will see the beginning of the event, before the Moon sets.

Those in eastern Africa, eastern Europe, and western Asia will see the end of the event, after the Moon rises in the sky.

The eclipse will not be seen on the east coast of the United States, South America and southernmost Mexico, western Africa and western Europe.

For two locations that will catch the February 9th eclipse, in Hawaii (United States) the eclipse begins at 02:38:46 a.m. and ends at 06:37:40 a.m. The greatest eclipse will be seen at 04:38:15 (local time).

And, in the city of Sydney, Australia, the eclipse starts at 23:38:46 (11:38:46 p.m.) and ends at 03:37:40. The greatest eclipse will be viewed at 01:38:15.
